North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple declares the federal government is killing energy development. Dalrymple makes the charge in the Republican weekly address. He blames overly budensome regulations. He says the best example is the Keystone XL pipeline which the Obama administration will not allow to be built. He notes that North Dakota can't effectively market its crude oil domestically without a large north-south pipeline. Dalrymple emphasizes that his state's oil producers were set to feed the pipeline with 100-thousand barrels of crude oil a day. He says Obama claims to need more time to study Keystone, but he's already had three years. Dalrymple says Congress should step in an authorize the project.
