Chrysler To Recall Jeep Compass and Patriot Models

Chrysler is recalling some 2012 Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot models due to a faulty gas tank valve. The automaker says the valve can be damaged and possibly cause a fire. There have been no reported problems but Chrysler will recall 17-hundred vehicles to replace the valve. The National Highway Transportation Safety Board has put the information about the recall on its website. Owners who may have questions should contact their local dealer.
