Two State Chase Ends in the Arrest of East Moline Man

A two state chase began in Moline and ended in Bettendorf last night in the arrest of a 26 year old East Moline man. At approximately 7:38 Pm Monday night Moline Police requested assistance from Bettendorf Police to aid in the apprehension of two people fleeing across the I-74 Bridge. The car, a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse, evaded a Bettendorf Police cruiser before crashing into the side of a van. The car was able to continue several blocks before the driver was forced to pull over. The driver attempted to flee on foot on Devil's Glen Road in Bettendorf but assisting officers from Moline were able to locate 26 year old Cody Baker in nearby wood using a heat sensor. No charges have been filed against Baker's unnamed passenger while Baker was transported to Scott County Jail awaiting charges.
