Branstad Endorses Romney Just Before Santorum Quits

Governor Terry Branstad has finally announced his endorsement in the Republican presidential contest, but nearly as soon as he did, it was for naught.  Branstad is backing former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.  Shortly after he weighed in after being neutral to this point, former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania announced he was suspending his campaign.  Santorum was the closest to Romney and his exit nearly seals the deal for the Michigan native to be the GOP nominee.
