USDA Says National Corn Plantings Highest In 75 Years

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says there is a lot of corn being grown this year. In fact, plantings are the highest they've been in 75 years, with USDA reporting 96-point-four million acres of corn are in the ground nationwide. In Iowa, farmers planted 14-million acres, a slight drop from last year but still the most in the country.
