Cardinals Stifle Reds

Kyle Lohse allowed one run on four hits over six frames as the Cardinals dropped the Reds, 3-1.  Carlos Beltran blasted a solo home run in the first.  David Freese added a two-run shot in the sixth inning for St. Louis, which has started defense of its World Series title with a 5-and-1 record.  Jason Motte pitched the ninth for his second save.  Mike Leake gave up three runs over six innings to take the loss for Cincinnati, which fell to 2-and-3.  Joey Votto's sixth-inning sacrifice-fly accounted for the lone run the Reds pushed across.
