Jake Westbrook went the distance to lead the Cardinals to a 3-1 win over the Tigers in the rubber match of a three-game set. Westbrook allowed an unearned run and five hits while striking out five to improve to 6-and-6. Carlos Beltran went 2-for-2 with a run and two walks in the victory. The Cards and Tigers close out their series today.
